MERRY CHRISTMAS

Hi all. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I know I did. Plenty of food and gifts. I had many gifts given to me yesterday and my most precious gift was given when Sandy's family came over and spent the day with us. We had over, my mother in-law, brother in-law, sister in-law and her husband. My family and in-laws enjoyed food and games all day. What a great day. Could a man ask for a  better Christmas? There is that word again: FAMILY. I love it!!! Hope your Christmas was just as great. And hope your New Years is also. Good night for now.

THANKSGIVING

To some people thanksgiving means parades , food , food and more food. But all you in blog world, to me it is more. Family ( we all know that family includes...  In-laws , cousins , aunts and uncles (zios and zias ) ), friends and God. For with out all three I have nothing to be thankful for, oh yeah and food lol lol lol. So as we all sit down to Thanksgiving dinner say a little prayer for all our family and friends.

I think Life is like a road trip (the road being our family) and the stops we make along the way ( the friends we make) may come or go depending on how much we put into it but the road will be there always. Not always in good shape but with a little work it can be smooth again. So I say to all my friends and family " I love you all". And as the say in China  "buon appetit".

What a day

This past week was one for the books. We lost a Person some called Wife some called mother some called grandmother and most called Friend. Yes that was Barb Nicolini. My brother and I went to Florida to be with our dad at this hellish time and it was not fun. What was nice was all the friends one gathers in there life. His Friends baked, cooked and were there for my dad with love.How sad this world would be with out Family and friends. I stop to try to remember what my life was before I met my wife Sandy and it was empty. Then what it was like with out my kids and it was the same empty. You collect friends along the way some go and some stay. I have a friend that is still there. He was there from mud pie making with real mud , rock throwing , Tree climbing to marriage Godfather to Jake and to talk to about things even today. Love you bud !!!!! So with out family and friends what do we have ??? I think we don't have much. So to my family and my many friends I say I love you all and to my DAD I say you are the best and I love you and hope if you ever need me again I will be there.

Well, It's here. All Hollow's Eve. We sit carving pumpkins, the wife cooking apple pie in the kitchen and, OK OK, no apple pie. But in my world there is. Ghost;s  floating  all around, witches flying and wolfmen howling at the moon. As The Count tells stories of his homeland, we all sit listening to tales of the night. Tomorrow, we all get to dress up and act like our darkest fears or funniest people, any thing or anyone we like. Who will you be?????? Come over to my world for some treats if you dare. oh what a world

Today Sandy and I talked. We laugh a little. We made some noise. We peeped , beeped and roared. Then I slammed the door and left. And she never got mad. She was pleased.She sat on the couch in the living room and I in the dining room. Her on her lap top and me on my desk top we chatted. Oh what a world . OH YAh IT WAS FUN !!!!!! Good night all.

when in Rome or wahoo chili

Well guys here it is. The wife and some girls got together for a girly party. You know, all girls tasting food with spoons no bigger then a 1/4 in.  open head wrench ( had to man it up a little ) and all acting like it was the most important thing in the world. If they don't like it, the world may END.   THEN men, they broke out the drinks. That's right- drinks with VODKA in it. That's why the little spoons; more room for big drinks. Well guys out there in blog land, I tried the food (not with little spoons) I tried them with big ones with graham crackers- oh yea and they were good. There was beer bread, key lime stuff, rice soup- oh man I'm in love. Men we messed up. Why didn't we think of this? Come on guys, chili and beer with hot dog dip? Or a belching party with all the drinks you can pass out to? All kidding aside, the food was great, the wife and girls had fun, and you know what guys that makes it all worth it. Family and friends having fun and good food to boot. Well guys, we need to jump on this band wagon. Good night all.

can't what for summer

Here it is September, where has summer gone? Someone told me one time that the older you get the faster time goes bye. I though to myself ya right 24 hours is 24 hours. Well dad you where right. For some reason God took 12 hours a day away from adults. He gave it to the kids. So in a little while we will be in the holiday mode saying I can't what for summer. It's to cold there's to much snow is everyone looking for the same x-miss gift as me. Well everyone out there this year take time and enjoy every day IT GOES FAST.
